Terms of Service

By creating a CoachStable account or using any part of the platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use CoachStable.

1. About CoachStable

CoachStable ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our") is a practice management software platform for racket sport coaches. CoachStable is a product of Racketeers Padel, developed and operated by Blackened Digital, registered in South Africa.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CoachStable, including the web application and any associated services. These Terms apply to all users including coaches and their clients who access the client portal.

2. Eligibility

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the platform under the laws of your jurisdiction
• Provide accurate and complete registration information

3. Your Account

When you create a CoachStable account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• You must provide a valid email address and accurate personal information at registration
• You are responsible for all activity under your account, whether or not authorised by you
• You must notify us immediately at support@coachstable.com if you suspect unauthorised access
• You may not share your account credentials with third parties
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or subscription requirement

4. Subscription and Payment

• Monthly subscriptions: R299/month (ZAR) or $19/month (USD), billed at the start of each billing cycle
• Annual subscriptions: R2,990/year (ZAR) or $190/year (USD), billed annually
• A 14-day free trial is available to all new accounts — no payment information required during the trial
• After the trial, a valid payment method must be provided to continue access
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• All payments are processed securely by Paystack
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days written notice to your registered email address

5. Acceptable Use

You may use CoachStable only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Platform to violate any applicable law, upload harmful content, impersonate others, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malware, send spam, or resell access without permission. Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund. See Section 9 for specific restrictions on reverse engineering and competitive replication.

6. Client Data and Coaching Content

As a coach using CoachStable, you are the data controller for all client information you enter into the platform. You are responsible for obtaining necessary consent from your clients, using client data only for legitimate coaching purposes, keeping data accurate, and complying with applicable data protection laws including POPIA (South Africa) and GDPR (EU).

7. Client Portal

CoachStable includes a client portal that allows coaches to invite their clients to view their session history, goals, and coach-flagged notes. By inviting a client to the portal, you confirm you have their consent and take responsibility for the accuracy of information visible to them.

8. WhatsApp Messaging

CoachStable includes a WhatsApp reminder tool that generates pre-written messages for coaches to send to clients via WhatsApp. You are solely responsible for ensuring consent, the content of messages sent, and compliance with WhatsApp's Terms of Service. CoachStable does not send WhatsApp messages automatically or on your behalf.

9. Prohibited Cloning, Reverse Engineering and Competitive Replication

You may not, and may not authorise, permit, or assist any third party to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying structure, algorithms, or workflows of the Platform
• Copy, replicate, or build a derivative product that reproduces the Platform's features, user interface, user experience, workflows, or overall look and feel, for the purpose of building or operating a competing product or service
• Use automated tools, including screen-scraping, bots, or crawlers, to extract data, content, or platform structure for competitive analysis or replication
• Use information or access obtained through your account, including trial access, to develop, market, or operate a competing coaching-management platform

We may investigate suspected violations of this section, including through technical monitoring of account activity, and may terminate access immediately without refund and pursue all available legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages, for any violation.

10. Intellectual Property

CoachStable, including its software, source code, user interface, user experience design, workflows, feature set, branding, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Racketeers Padel and Blackened Digital. You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload. By using CoachStable, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

11. Service Availability

We aim to keep CoachStable available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance or experience unplanned downtime. CoachStable is not liable for losses arising from service interruptions outside our reasonable control.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

CoachStable is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Racketeers Padel and Blackened Digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship governed by these Terms at any time. You may terminate by cancelling your subscription and ceasing use of the platform. We may terminate your access immediately if you materially breach these Terms — including the prohibitions in Section 9 on cloning and competitive replication — engage in fraudulent activity, or attempt to compromise platform security.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of CoachStable after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
